Gifted does not mean that you excel at everything. In fact, most gifted people don’t.
Twice exceptional (2E) means you are gifted and also have a disability. Some 2E people can sense that they are talented in one area but struggle in another. Some have a formal diagnosis, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, anxiety, dyslexia, or any other learning disorder.
Neurodiverse is a term that means some people’s brains work differently than what is “typical” but this is still within the bell curve of normal.
Do think of yourself as disorganized, scattered, cluttered, or not a “people person”. Do you blame your diagnosis? Maybe you have always felt that you just don’t “fit in”.
I can help. Do you know that each neurodiversity comes with areas of strength that can become a super power? Stop being mean to yourself because your brain doesn’t work in the way society expects it to. Most people don’t become doctors, why should your doctor brain be expected to conform to their standards? Your diagnosis does not make you lazy or stupid. It makes you human. Let’s connect.
